Exit Winter, But Make It Fashion
No one in Oklahoma goes without a reliable weather app to help us with our fashion choices. The sundown of Winter and the grand entrance of Spring brings, for us especially, a wide array of temps. In one day you can spend the morning in the 40s and the afternoon in the low 80s which makes us use our fashion “thinking caps” in a very dynamic way. The answer to this wild swinging weather for many is to dull down the wardrobe until things stabilize. Of course, here at Maz Modern we are not known for minimalism so here’s my hot take: “Exit Winter; but make it Fashion.”
Tuesday Takeover: Cinthya Allen
Timeless and Versatile. If you know Cinthya Allen, you’ve likely not only noticed that she is ALWAYS “put together”, but you’ve likely felt the beauty and positivity that radiates from her. I am lucky enough to know Cinthya not only in her current role as Chief Diversity & Equity Officer at City of Norman, but as a Latino community leader, a retired folkloric dancer, an OU fan, and a mama of three. This working mama has found a practical and timeless way to make fashion for work her own, but what I admire in her most is her enduring faith, good nature, and natural beauty that shines through everything she does. On this Tuesday, Elizabeth Isaac takes over the Maz Modern blog to showcase her quirky, eclectic, and practical attorney style. With a knack for guiding creative professionals through their legal hurdles, she surely is one to watch for style and poise. Finding her own unique blend of comfort and style, Liz has solidly found her own fashion voice and we are excited to have her style speak volumes today.
Tuesday Takeover: Tee Hunter
Today, the stunning Tee Hunter is taking over the blog. She is a badass, no-nonsense attorney and business owner that uses her wit and creative arguments to problem-solve, to the benefit of her clients. What I love about Tee is her ability to shut out the noise and do her; she’s a non-conformist, has a shark-like focus and work ethic, and is in sick shape which shows she is very disciplined. I’m excited to introduce Tee to the Maz Mavens and display her strong style on this Tuesday Takeover.
Dillard’s is Oklahoma City’s Go-to Destination for Quality Clothing in a Rush
In Oklahoma City, we have few options when it comes to great department stores to go to when we need a quality clothing item. When I need a trendy look in a rush, I know I can count on Dillard’s Penn Square as a destination where I will always find the perfect match for my vision. Often when I pop in, stylist, Mina Abouata, will find just the right item for me to walk away feeling stylish and confident.

I’m proud to introduce Meredith Garrett, founder of Marked by Meredith to the blog. In our quarantine summer of 2020, I was fortunate enough to work with Meredith in creating a dream space for my daughter to school from home and I cannot say enough good things and frankly, neither can the world; check out her IG @markedbymeredith. She is driven and passionate about her work and she spreads that love around like the best mama, friend, and hype girl a lady could have. Maybe I’ve been cooped up in the house for too long, but my inner diva is dying to fly across the world and be released after quarantine. Everyone has somewhere or something on their “to-do after Covid is under control” list and mine is to cross the Atlantic again and visit sweet Paris. Good thing beret’s are on trend for the winter because I’m living for cold weather clothing in the bitter Oklahoma cold, and going to pretend my way into thinking I’m sitting at an outdoor café somewhere far away.

Nikki vibes on the same energy level that I have, which is a rare find. She’s direct and intense but with a heart of gold. In true modern woman fashion, she balances her professional life, leadership, and philanthropy with being a Mother. After all that, she still manages to find time for meditation, bonding with family and friends, and mentoring young lawyers. She is a true boss, and I’m happy to pass the keyboard to feature her style.
