Embrace Your Inner Flamingo

Let’s talk about being different; standing out in a crowd. In my early youth I, like most that age, had a fear of being singled out because of my differences; a different last name, eating different foods at home than other children, and because my family was large and multilingual. I can’t pinpoint exactly when I overcame that fear, but I did, and it was early in my life. Those that don’t naturally fit in, or look or act like everyone else, learn early on that it is sometimes better to be different and they don’t have to act or be like anyone else. They learn to be proud of the things that make them stand out, embrace their differences, and are more resilient as adults. Those lessons, learned early on, help me to be a better lawyer and business owner.

Your Wings Already Exist, All You Have to Do Is Fly

One of the ways I am most effective in relating with my clients is I can quickly identify the problems, gauge their level of fear of the unknown, and engage them in creating a tailored action plan to solve any problems. Being involved in any sort of litigation requires time and attention on the facts of the case, but emotions matter too. I often put myself in my client’s shoes, considering how I would feel in their darkest moment. It gives me perspective in understanding what drives the client and is my compass in helping them make objectively smart decisions to create a solid plan for their future.

Protecting the Flock

As lawyers, we have a duty to you to maintain confidentiality. It is a job I take very seriously. My clients know they can trust me with their darkest secrets and I can guide them through the best legal choices moving forward. We look at the legal implications and the personal effects of your decisions and assist you to make the best choice. Then we seal those secrets away in our vault and help you put the past to rest and move forward with your life.

Stand Tall, Stand Out

When I first started my law practice I was intentional about offering a different type of service to my clients: one that builds relationships, is accessible, and offers hope in the darkest moments.

Part of my messaging as a business owner and as a lawyer is how I choose to show up every day…but what do you wear for that role and stay authentic to you? Enter @melanielippman - a stylist for professional women. In the new few months Melanie Lippman and I have decided to collab on some outfits to give you a feel of what it’s like to work with a stylist and re-invent looks from items in my closet in a stylish way.

Be Flexible With Your Style

If you have never worked with a stylist before, here’s how it works with Melanie. You go into your closet, take pictures of the items you own and she puts together outfits on a digital closet. She then gives suggested pairing advice regarding jewelry and shoes to finish off the look based on the event or look you have. Many times it’s a way to re-vamp or reimagine what you already own. Styles change so frequently and an update may be exactly what the stylist prescribes to keep you looking fresh.
