Combat dry skin in the winter
The winter season brings forth the joy of Christmas and snowstorms, but also the need for some serious attention to skincare. My current obsessions to attack dry skin and maintenance during the winter months are:
Baby Foot - Original Exfoliation Foot Peel. Warning: your skin will flake off and peel 3-4 days after the foot peel and will require a scrub, but this has been great for monthly maintenance when I can’t get to a pedicure.
Nivea In Shower Body Wash lotion works great to keep you moisturized while in a hot shower. I have to thank Paula Thomas for from my Casady Mom Group for this rec.
SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic I use daily, I haven’t yet tried SkinCeuticals Resveratrol B E, or PCA Skin C&E Strength, but have heard great things.
Sunday Riley C.E.O Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil, I use daily after CE Ferulic. This is a favorite of mine for that dewy look.
Two lotions I’m using this winter are EltaMD Lotion and CeraVe Moisturizing Cream that is amazingly affordable to combat that winter flakiness.
Epionce Intensive Nourishing Cream, is highly recommended and next on my list.
Last but not least, don’t forget your SPF! More on my favs in an upcoming post.
Quick shout out to @drskinberley, Dr. Kimberly Jerdan for many of these tried and true recommendations. If you aren’t following her page, you are missing the best skin care advice and if you haven’t had your annual skin check, look her up.
