What’s Your Uniform?
A Lawyer’s uniform is a navy blue suit. I learned this as a law clerk and later a “baby lawyer” that you keep it conservative for the courtroom. That said, as I’ve matured, become a mom, my conservative look and my attitude about fashion changed because my needs and my body changed. The suits I wore needed to be low maintenance. The blouses I wore needed to be accessible to be able to pump or breastfeed on breaks or at lunch. Being a #bossmom meant I had to manage my look while being accessible to my kids. During this journey I discovered @jcrew suiting. Jcrew offers suiting that affordable but quality and tailored to a woman’s body. I often order the Cameron pant as shown here, but it fits right above the ankle so I order a tall to compensate for my long legs (I’m 5’9). This cigarette pant slenderizes a curvier figure, the high waist hides that post baby bump.
