Today, the stunning Tee Hunter is taking over the blog. She is a badass, no-nonsense attorney and business owner that uses her wit and creative arguments to problem-solve, to the benefit of her clients. What I love about Tee is her ability to shut out the noise and do her; she’s a non-conformist, has a shark-like focus and work ethic, and is in sick shape which shows she is very disciplined. In Oklahoma City, we have few options when it comes to great department stores to go to when we need a quality clothing item. When I need a trendy look in a rush, I know I can count on Dillard’s Penn Square as a destination where I will always find the perfect match for my vision. Often when I pop in, stylist, Mina Abouata, will find just the right item for me to walk away feeling stylish and confident.

Paris Fashion Week Reveals What’s On Trend In Your Closet
If you’re anything like me, at the end of the night you find yourself scrolling and clicking on targeted ads in your news feed. At this point I’ve become accustomed to doing such “window shopping” online and leaving it in my “cart,” before I break the bank. But I’m here to tell you that you need to go no further than your own closet to re-invent your wardrobe and add some fun, fashion forward pieces. The good news: Paris fashion week has revealed a come back of big shoulders, puffy sleeves, monochromatic looks, and statement belts.
The great news: It’s time to unearth those 80s power suits, that 9 to 5 confidence you’ve held onto all these years, along with those bright flashy colors that have re-emerged giving you a reason to be as bold and dramatic as a Dynasty cast member.

I’m proud to introduce Meredith Garrett, founder of Marked by Meredith to the blog. In our quarantine summer of 2020, I was fortunate enough to work with Meredith in creating a dream space for my daughter to school from home and I cannot say enough good things and frankly, neither can the world; check out her IG @markedbymeredith. She is driven and passionate about her work and she spreads that love around like the best mama, friend, and hype girl a lady could have. Maybe I’ve been cooped up in the house for too long, but my inner diva is dying to fly across the world and be released after quarantine. Everyone has somewhere or something on their “to-do after Covid is under control” list and mine is to cross the Atlantic again and visit sweet Paris. Good thing beret’s are on trend for the winter because I’m living for cold weather clothing in the bitter Oklahoma cold, and going to pretend my way into thinking I’m sitting at an outdoor café somewhere far away.

Michelle Obama was serving grace, grit, and style on a first class platter when she walked through those capital doors in her monochromatic power suit on Inauguration day. With a gasp of fresh air, American women everywhere felt that fashion power upstage the event in a Cabernet power suit. And just like that, inspiration hit this Modern Maz and I knew I had to bring a little of that fashion flavor back to the 405 with the #ForeverFLOTUSChallenge.

For our first Tuesday Takeover, let me introduce Nikki Jones Edwards, a premier litigator with an active family law practice in Oklahoma City. Nikki vibes on the same energy level that I have, which is a rare find. She’s direct and intense but with a heart of gold. In true modern woman fashion, she balances her professional life, leadership, and philanthropy with being a Mother. After all that, she still manages to find time for meditation, bonding with family and friends, and mentoring young lawyers. She is a true boss, and I’m happy to pass the keyboard to feature her style.
